Terms and Conditions

By making a booking with The Italian on Waiheke you agree to the terms below. They apply alongside our Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.

Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed once payment is received and you have a written confirmation from us. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include luxury transport on the island, a local guide and the tastings listed for your tour.

What is not included

• Ferry fares to and from Waiheke Island
• Lunches and additional food or drink, unless stated on your tour
• Optional activity or entry fees
• Gratuities

Meeting point and timings

Unless otherwise arranged, we meet guests at Matiatia Wharf with a welcome board. Please take the 9:00am ferry from Auckland. Itineraries and venues may change if a vineyard or restaurant is unavailable; we will always substitute something of equal quality.

Alcohol and responsible service

Guests must be 18 or over to consume alcohol. Our guides serve responsibly and may decline further tastings where required by law or safety. Guests under 18 are welcome on tour with an accompanying adult.

Conduct and safety

We may end a tour without refund if a guest behaves unsafely, damages property or is abusive to staff, venues or other guests. Please follow your guide's instructions in vehicles and at all venues.

Health, dietary needs and accessibility

Tell us about allergies, dietary requirements, mobility needs or medical conditions at the time of booking so we can plan properly. Contact us before booking to discuss accessibility.

Liability

We take care of you, but we are not liable for loss, delay or damage caused by ferry operators, restaurants, vineyards, weather or events outside our control. Personal belongings remain your responsibility. Nothing here limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.

Photography

We sometimes take photos on tour and may share them on our website or social channels. Tell your guide if you would prefer not to appear and we will respect that.
